Scope
These terms govern your use of cynodes.com. They do not govern paid engagements — those are covered by a signed statement of work and master services agreement, which take precedence over anything on this page.
Cynodes LLC is a Delaware-registered limited liability company with a mailing address at 418 Broadway #12117, Albany, NY 12207, USA.
Using this site
- You may read, quote with attribution, and share anything published here.
- You may not use our published email addresses to send unsolicited commercial messages, malware, or anything unlawful.
- You may not attempt to disrupt the site or degrade its availability for others.
- Security testing: we welcome good-faith research, and ask that you follow the coordinated disclosure process at security@cynodes.com rather than testing destructively. We will not pursue researchers who act in good faith and give us a reasonable window to respond.
Our commitments on the data you send us
This section is the point of this page. When you send us information — by email or during an engagement — we hold ourselves to the following, and you may rely on it.
- Minimisation. We ask for the least we need to answer you. This site has no form at all: you decide what to put in an email, and we do not collect a field simply because it would be interesting to have.
- Purpose limitation. What you send in an enquiry is used to answer that enquiry. It does not become marketing list fodder, it is not enriched with third-party data, and it is not repurposed later without asking you first.
- No sale, no sharing, no training. We do not sell personal information, do not share it for advertising, and do not feed it to machine-learning models — ours or anyone else's.
- Deletion on request, without argument. Ask and we delete. We will not require a reason, route you through a retention team, or make the request harder than the collection was.
- Confidentiality by default. Technical detail you share while scoping work — architecture, findings, weaknesses — is treated as confidential from the first conversation, before any NDA is signed, not after.
- Proportionate retention. Enquiries are deleted after 24 months of no contact. Server logs go after 30 days. We do not keep data because storage is cheap.
- Breach honesty. If we lose control of data you gave us, we will tell you promptly and specifically — what happened, what was affected, and what we are doing — rather than issuing a statement engineered to reveal as little as possible.
- Subprocessor transparency. Anyone who processes your data on our behalf is named in our Privacy Policy, and that list is updated before a new one is added, not after.
Client data during engagements
Data we encounter while delivering security or integration work — logs, configurations, credentials issued to us, findings — is governed by the engagement contract, not by this page. As a baseline: it stays within the engagement, is accessed only by the people delivering it, is returned or destroyed at the end on your instruction, and is never used as a case study or reference without your written agreement.
Where an engagement involves Controlled Unclassified Information or other regulated data, handling requirements are agreed in writing before any access is granted.
Accuracy of what we publish
We keep this site accurate, but content here is general information, not advice for your specific environment. Descriptions of our services are not offers, and nothing on this site creates a contract or a professional relationship. Any figures, timings, or capabilities described are indicative and become commitments only when written into a signed agreement.
Third-party links
Where we link to vendors, frameworks, or other organisations, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Vendor and product names are used descriptively; all trademarks belong to their respective owners, and their appearance here does not imply their endorsement of us.
Availability and liability
This site is provided as-is. We aim to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or remove content at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cynodes LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Liability arising from paid work is governed by the engagement contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the courts of New York have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from use of this website. This does not remove any consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country.
